    Vera McKinnis, 69, of New Brighton and formerly of Rochester, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

    She was born on October 27, 1949 in the Ukraine, to the late Jack and Barbara (Atamanjuk) Litwin. Vera was a Nurses Aid for many years at McGuire Home, Franciscan Manor and Providence Care Center.

    She is survived by her husband Gary McKinnis, New Brighton; a daughter Stephanie McKinnis and her fiancée Joe Kittner, Beaver Falls; four sisters Luba Hudock, Brighton Township, Stana Litwin, Rochester, Linda Stanley in South Carolina and Helen Barry in Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Shawn McKinnis in 1985.          

    Friends will be received Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. in the HILL AND KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, , 3801 Fourth Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls. Rev. Keith Black will officiate.

    The family would like to thank the caregivers of Vitas Hospice that provided comfort, love and support to Vera during her final days.

Dear McKinnis Family you have our Deepest Sympathy on the passing of Vera. She was our neighbor for many, many years in East Rochester. I wish I would have known I would paid my respects to her and the family! We will be keeping you in our prayers as you grieve the passing of Vera. She was always funny and I will remember her as a good neighbor from our old neighborhood! Rest in Peace dear friend! Sincerely The Cousar Family.
