Bertha (Tokar) Pensy 90 passed away peacefully Friday November 6, 2020 at Cambridge Village.
Born January 14, 1930 in Rochester, PA to Michael & Anna Tokar.
Bertha was a graduate of Rochester High School and proud to be a “Rocky Ram”. After graduation, she was employed at Westinghouse until her marriage to Frank on February 14, 1953.
Bertha was the greatest full-time wife and mom. In the middle 1970’s, she was employed by the Homemakers Home Health Agency caring for people. She retired after 35 years of service but continued to help anyone that needed her.
Bertha was a member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Ambridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank in 1999, 5 brother George, Alex, John, Charlie and Steve, sister Mary and her furry companions Fred and Lucy.
She is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Tom Mallary and Linda and Mike Kotuby. Grandchildren Michael Kotuby, Kristen and Ray Clyde and Emily and Joe Nye. Great-grandchildren Abigail Nye and Kayden and Tanner Clyde and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Bertha will be remembered for her love of life and her stuffed cabbage, chicken soup, strawberry rolls, and angel food cake.
The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Warwick staff at Cambridge Village. They were our Angels caring for Mom during these difficult times. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their brief but compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Beaver County Humane Society because of Bertha’s love for animals, especially cats.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 PM & -5-7 PM, in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801-4th Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
Private funeral services will be held for the family.
Private interment will be in Sylvania Hills Cemetery, Rochester, PA.
