It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, husband, father and grandfather, Bruce Humphrey.
On September 2, 2023, Bruce passed while once again fighting for his strength and independence. However, he was very confident in knowing that his faith, that gave him strength in life, would also comfort him in death.
Bruce was born on January 18, 1958. He is survived by his soul mate and the love of his life of 42 years, his wife, Vicky (Brown) Humphrey, their 3 children, Matthew, Lauren and Nicole, 6 grandchildren Sienna, Darian, and Aurria Humphrey, and Omari, Braelen and Tobias Harper. He is also survived by his parents, Ralph and Peg Canonaco, his sister-in-laws, Connie (Ron) Frey, Patti (Rob) Schuler, Wanda (Jim) Lutz, Elaine Granoto, and Becky Rocco, his brother-in-law, Butch Brown, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Humphrey, brothers, Ken and Keith Humphrey, and his second mom, his mother-in-law, Betty Brown, and his father-in-law, Norman Brown.
Bruce had many passions in life, his family, the Steelers, golf and his pleasure of making others happy with his cooking. At the young age of 17, he began his culinary career running his parents’ pizza shop, Pegs Pizza Pit. He then moved on to attending culinary school and working at various restaurants in the Pittsburgh area. He was featured several times on Pittsburgh news and talk shows for his cooking style. He was designated as “the most innovative chef” by Pittsburgh’s local food critic, “The Phantom Diner” and given accolades in a national publication. He eventually fulfilled his lifelong dream of bringing his cooking to his hometown of Beaver Falls, owning Giuseppe’s Tuscany Grill for 27 years.
Bruce will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all that knew and loved him.
Friends will be received Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. in the HILL AND KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com , 3801 Fourth Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls. Private interment will be in Concord Cemetery, North Sewickley Township.
