It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of Carole Lee (Thomas) Riggs, 83, on July 23, 2022, of North Sewickley Township, Pennsylvania. In the weeks before her passing, Carole was surrounded by love from those she held closest in her heart.
Carole was the daughter of Harriet (Tuma) and Charles Thomas, born on June 8, 1939. After high school, she worked as an accountant and lumber purchaser for Mechilam Lumber Yard in Monaca then alter as an accountant for Vollmer Motor Sales. Carole was proceeded in death by her husband of forty-nine year, Gordon Wellington Riggs.
Carole loved spending time with her dogs, horses, and cat. Carole was a member of the Beaver County Kennel Club, Australian Cattle Dog Club of America, American Kennel Club, and American Quarter Horse Association in her earlier years. Carole’s love for her animals was admired by many. Over the years, Carole also enjoyed sitting on her back porch watching the wildlife on her property.
Carole’s primary caregivers would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to those who surrounded her with love over the past few years. The generosity of those individuals left a lasting impression on the hearts of many.
Arrangements were handled by the Hill and Kunselman Funeral Home in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. Carole was laid to rest beside her husband at English Lutheran Church Cemetery in Zelienople, Pennsylvania. At her request there will be no visitation or public service.
