Charles H. Goff, Jr., 75, of Beaver Falls, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in the Vietnam War. Born on May 2, 1946, in Beaver Falls, Charles was a son of the late Charles Sr. (a World War II veteran) and Mary (Aquino) Goff.
Charles enjoyed volunteering his time to Beaver Falls sports and loved being a Tiger. He was a fixture at the ball fields and around town and coached for over three decades in Colt and Little League baseball. He also coached basketball, to include many years at St. Mary’s Catholic School where he won the Pittsburgh diocese championship. When he wasn’t coaching, his other favorite past time was golf which he enjoyed playing with his wife and friends. Charles was also a member of the St. Monica Parish.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Matty Goff; sons, Charles H. III (Maureen) Goff, and Michael A. (Melrose) Goff; five grandchildren; Morgan, Charlize, Charles, Joseph, and Mary as well as many family and friends oversees in the Philippines. Charles is preceded by a brother, Joseph “Bo” Goff.
Friends will be received on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME- 3801 4th Avenue, College Hill, www.hillandkunselman.com. Additional visitation will be held from 8:30 until time of prayers at 9:20 AM in the funeral home before a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in the St. Monica Roman Catholic Church- 116 Thorndale Drive, Chippewa Township.
Private interment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
