Obituary

     Charles Matthew Stockunas, 87, of South Beaver Township a cherished and loved husband, father, grandfather and uncle passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Providence Care Center.
     Chuck was born in Beaver Falls on May 26, 1934 to the late Casimir and Frances (Wojtkiewicz) Stockunas. After graduating from high school, he served and was honorably discharged from the United States Army.  He worked for Babcock and Wilcox Tubular Products as a Millwright; TCB Trucking and Ryder Trucking as a truck driver and Wilbert Vault in Beaver Falls, and drove cars for Ron Lewis and Friend Pontiac.
     He was a member of St. Monica Parish, formerly St. Rose of Lima, where he was an usher, was a member of the South Beaver Twp. Volunteer Fire Department for over 50 years, and a life member of the Beaver Falls Sportsman’s Club.
     Chuck enjoyed spending time and helping at the weekly shoots at the Sportsman’s Club.  He was an avid trap shooter and participated in leagues in Beaver County and Mahoning County Ohio.  Chuck could be found helping out at any of the clubs hosting shoots. Chuck was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends whenever needed.
     He is survived by his wife, Lillian Violet (Palaich) Stockunas, South Beaver Township; their four children, Denise (Russell) Clayton, Robert, Thomas and Jennifer Stockunas; his granddaughter, Anastasia Clayton; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard (Betsy) Stockunas and numerous nieces, nephews and close family friends Cori, Scott and MacKenzie Maxwell.
     He was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Robert Yereb.
     Friends will be received Tuesday, February 15th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the HILL AND KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com , 3801 Fourth Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls where prayers will be recited Wednesday, February 16th at 9:20 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Monica Parish, 116 Thorndale Drive, Beaver Falls, with Father John Naugle as Celebrant.
     Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Chippewa Twp.
     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the South Beaver Twp. Volunteer Fire Department, 817 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010
