David “Scott” Zell, 68, of Beaver Falls, passed away on December 11, 2019, surrounded by his loved ones, at Heritage Valley Beaver, following a brief illness.
Born November 8, 1951 in Beaver Falls, he was the son of Margaret “Patty” Holtom Zell of South Beaver Township and the late Ralph Zell who passed in 2003.
Scott was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School, Class of 1969, and received a degree from Geneva College in 1973. He was employed as a Case Worker by the Pennsylvania County Assistance Office in Rochester. Scott was a faithful member of Calvary Presbyterian Church in Beaver Falls, where he served as an Elder. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 45 years, Johannah Fencil Zell, a son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Danielle Zell, White Township, five grandchildren, Aleah, Victoria, Zoe, Ryland, and Covey, two great-grandsons, Brycen and Mavrik, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cathy and Dan Eichinger, South Dakota, Joni and Tim Young, White Township, and numerous other family members surviving.
There will be no visitation as per Scott’s wishes. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at the Oak Grove Church of Christ, 169 Ashwood Drive, Industry, PA 15052 with Pastor Jeff Phillis officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, if desired to Calvary Presbyterian Church, 1099 Sixth Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
