Edward Zellhart Obituary

Edward “Bill” Zellhart, 89, formerly of West Mayfield was called home by his Lord and Savior on Wednesday June 30, 2021.

Born May 17, 1932, in Sharpsburg, was the son of the late William & Mary (Gloss) Zellhart. Living in West Mayfield, Bill retired to Marathon, FL with his late wife from 1980 to 2001, returning to Pennsylvania every year.  He worked for Gulf Oil as a manager of a service station on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and while in Florida work as a school bus driver for the Marathon School District.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean War, serving in the Special Tank Battalion and was a special document carrier during the war.   He was a lifetime member of the American Legion in FL.  Member of the former Christ’s Lutheran Church.   He formerly coached baseball for West Mayfield and was an avid bowler, playing cards, and bingo player.

He is survived by three sons and their wives, Edward William Jr. & Rhonda Zellhart, Ellwood City, Michael & Beth Zellhart, Butler and Richard & Kimberly Zellhart, Seaford, DE; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William & Ellie Winters, and a sister-in-law Veronica Zellhart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Betty Lou Zellhart, May 26, 2013, an infant daughter, Judy and several brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Cliff Reynolds officiating. in the HILL AND KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com , 3801 Fourth Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls.

Private interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Twp.

The family would like to thank Trinity Oak Care Home in Ellwood City and Good Samaritan Hospice for their angelic care.
