Emily (Green) Cooper, 79, of Chippewa Twp. passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at her residence.
Emily was born on May 25, 1941 in New Castle, to the late George Harden and Janet (Noss) Green. She graduated from Beaver Falls High School and Westminster College. Emily was an administrative assistant for Rolls Royce (Aircraft Division) at the Pittsburgh International Airport for many years until her retirement.
She was a member of the Outlook Club and an active member of Chippewa United Methodist Church, their Chancel and Adult Bell choirs, and was also secretary of various boards of the church and constant contributor to bake sales with countless loaves of her famous bread. Outside of her own church she served as accompanist at other local churches for soloists.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Cooper (2020); a brother, Frederick Green, and a brother-in-law, Richard West.
Surviving are her three sons, Nathan Cooper, Chippewa Twp., David Cooper, New Kensington, and Edward Cooper (Corinna), Baden; three grandchildren, Bethany and Scott Cooper, Cary, NC, and Liam Cooper, Baden; a sister and brother-in-law, Janet (Green) and Allan Beighley, Carnation, WA and a sister-in-law, Gloria (Cooper) West, New Brighton.
A graveside service was held Friday, April 23, 2021, at Beaver Cemetery with Pastor Gary Hilton officiating.
