Evelyn "Darling" Whitlatch

     Evelyn “Darling” Whitlatch, 96, of Chippewa Twp. passed away Friday, March 17, 2023.

     Darling was loved by all that met her. Though small in stature, she was mighty in presence. Her departing will leave a huge void in many people’s lives.

     She was born on August 12, 1926 in Conneaut Lake, PA, to the late Jesse G. and Anna (Taylor) Spencer. Evelyn was a graduate of Jameson School of Nursing through the United States Army Cadet Nursing Corp. She worked at the Radiator Co. in New Castle, Obstetrics dept of the former Rochester Hospital, was an office nurse for Dr. G.E. Kilpatrick and retired from the former Geriatric Center in 1991. She was a member of Chippewa United Methodist Church and the former College Hill Presbyterian Church where she served on Session and the Board of Deacons. Also, a past member of the Early Bird’s Bowling League.

     She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ronald C. Whitlatch, 2009; a grandson, David Ellefson, 2020; four sisters, Lorene Tolson, Ruth Weakly, MaryAnn Brown, Jean Del Boverland and a brother, John Spencer.

     Surviving are her children Lisa (Tony) Blaner, Addison, PA and David (Jaylene) Wallace, Denver, CO; a granddaughter, Crystal Ellefson, Beaver Falls; a granddaughter-in-law, Heidi Ellefson, Plum Boro; two grandsons, Phillip and William Wallace, Denver, CO; five great-grandchildren, Tim and Evelyn Ellefson, Vincent Mali, Chloe and Bella Humbert and many beloved nieces and nephews.

     Friends will be received Monday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. in the HILL AND KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, 3801 Fourth Avenue, Beaver Falls, Pastor Allan Brooks will officiate. Private interment will be in the National Cemetery
