George E. Pavlinich, 90, of New Brighton passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021.
George was born on August 25, 1930 in Fallston to the late Jacob and Barbara (Kalcevic) Pavlinich. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Korean War. He was a meat cutter for the former Economy Supermarket, City Market in Beaver Falls and Foodland in the Northern Lights Shopping Center. George was a member of New Brighton United Methodist Church, Methodist Men, the Croatian Club and the American Legion, Post 19, both in New Brighton.
For many years George was an adult leader and held various offices for the former New Brighton Boy Scouts, Troop # 418.
His passion was fishing. He was the cofounder of the Annual Chautauqua Fishing Tour.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith A (Bork) Pavlinich, 2015; a grandson, Todd Pavlinich, 2011; two brothers, Thomas and Jack Pavlinich and three sisters, Anne Dewhirst, Katherine Kraly and Mary Kolter.
Surviving are his two sons and their wives, Gary and Kathy Pavlinich, Pulaski Twp. and Randy and Karen Pavlinich, Daugherty Twp.; three grandchildren, Jennifer Pavlinich (Derrick Klanchar), Roscoe, PA, Aimee St. Germain (Nathan), Sewickley and Matthew Pavlinich (Marissa), Forest Hill, six great granddaughters, Alexis & Kailee Pavlinich, Noelle & Margot St. Germain and Wren & Mora Pavlinich and longtime friend and fishing companion, Jack Atchison.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the HILL AND KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com , 3801 Fourth Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the New Brighton United Methodist Church, Pastor Gary Hilton will officiate. Private interment will be in Sylvania Hills Cemetery, Daugherty Twp.
