Laura Emma Romano, 83, of Chippewa Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 10, 2022, in her home with her family by her side.
Born on April 12, 1938, in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Laura B. (Thomas) Goehring. Laura was an organist at the Chippewa United Methodist Church where she was also a member of. She managed the Blackhawk High School Cafeteria before retiring in 2000. In the free time that she had, Laura enjoyed gardening and traveling to see her children.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Romano; children, Crystal (James R.) Presto, of Kennesaw, Georgia, and John Jr. (Debbie) Romano, of Sebastian, Florida; grandchildren, Jeremy (Trisha) and Tahra Presto, and Sarah and Jennifer Romano; step-grandson, T.J. Sparks, of Vero Beach, Florida; seven great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Michele Romano, of Vero Beach, Florida; brother, Henry Goehring; niece, Lynn; and nephew, John.
In addition to her parents, Laura is preceded in death by her son, William J. Romano.
