Obituary

Laurie Beth Hill, 38, of West Mayfield, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.

Born on July 4, 1984, in Ellwood City, she was a daughter of Bruce and Michelle (Loughner) Gumbert. Laurie has worked in various loss-prevention positions and loved working as a house cleaner, where she would meet and befriend everyone she worked for. Laurie enjoyed nothing more than skydiving in her spare time and was always on the hunt for someone to jump with her.  She loved skiing and excelled on her first slope. Laurie was fearless throughout her life and there was nothing too scary or too high.

Laurie is survived by her loving parents; two daughters, Lindsay (boyfriend, Liam Cantwell) and Olivia Hill; a grandbaby on the way; sister, Heidi (Todd) Hart; and nieces and nephews, Celia Gumbert, Lively Hart, and Lorne Hart.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents; and beloved aunt, Billie Rough.

As per the family’s wishes, all services were kept private. The HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, INC.- 3801 4TH Avenue, College Hill, was honored to care for Laurie’s family at this time.

If desired, the family requests that any donations be made in Laurie's name to Pathway Church- 239 Braun Road Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
