Linda Kay ( Harrison) Heistand, 79, of Chippewa Township, went to be with the Lord on Friday December 30, 2022, in Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born April 24, 1943, in Rochester, Linda was the daughter of the late Robert John and Roberta Evelyn ( Bucklen) Harrsion. She earned her teaching degree after studying at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and graduating from Geneva College. She taught fourth grade at Riverside School District before she started to raise her family. She was a gifted artist who shared her beautiful talent through oil paintings on slate, handsaws, and canvas. Her passion was her family, her collie dogs, and craft shows with her late husband, Bill, where Heistand Slates was well known. Linda was a devoted lifetime member of the former College Hill United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William R. Heistand, August 15, 2013; an infant daughter, April 8, 1968, and a brother, Keith Harrison.
Linda will be missed dearly and is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Kristin and Brian McCarl, Lori and David Schibner, all of College Hill, Cheri and Greg Mihalik, Cranberry Township, four grandchildren, David and Gianna Schibner, and Gregory and Jessica Mihalik. Several nieces and nephews and close friends, Carol Anderson and Judy Hoschar.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801-Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where the service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev Tim Goodman officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
