Lorenzo V. D’Achille, 86, of North Sewickley Township, passed away on Saturday November 4, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Born January 10, 1937, in Beaver Falls; he was the son of the late Violante and Rose (Anthony) D’Achille. He was employed at Keystone Bakery before opening his own bakery ,1st Street Bakery (known as the Donut Hut) in Ellwood City. He regularly attended Concord Global Methodist Church, North Sewickley Township. He enjoyed hunting and camping in Tionesta, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family. Lorenzo loved baking for the holidays. He was known for his delicious nut rolls and pizzelles.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rose Marie (Kaleta) D’Achille, a son Ron (Shari) D’Achille; two daughters Theresa (William) Bair and Sharon (Todd) Hyre, of North Sewickley Township. Four grandchildren Adam (Anne) D’Achille, Alan (Amanda) D’Achille, Breana Hyre, and Jenna (James) Johnston. Four great-grandchildren Elliott, Micah, Kristina, and David D’Achille; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother in law, Mary Nicholson, brother, Guliano D’Achille and a brother-in-law Leon Kaleta.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 4-8 PM in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801-4th Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA 15010. Additional visitation will be held Thursday in the Concord Global Methodist Church, 285 Concord Church Road, Beaver Falls, from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM. Pastor, Chris Kindle will officiate.
Interment will take place in the Concord Cemetery.
