Pastor Charles “Chuck” S. Horstman, 44, of Beaver Falls, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 in UPMC Montefiore.
He fought the good fight. He finished the race. He kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
Born March 4, 1977 in Butler, he was the son of Donald P. and Deborah Ross Horstman of Butler. He loved the Lord. He was the youth pastor at St. John’s Burry’s Church. Chuck was a graduate of Butler High School, Class of 1995, and a graduate of Geneva College. He had been a Youth Director at church camps, had been active in The Good News Club, loved spending time with his family, and enjoyed hunting and camping.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Mary Horstman, a cousin Brenda Brenneman, and his mother-in-law, Amy Diehl.
He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Karen Diehl Horstman, three adoring children, Braeden, Kiyah, and Barrett “Buck” Horstman, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Brian and Candice Horstman, Sean and Stephanie Horstman, father-in-law, Jacob “Jake” Diehl, two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Margie and Chris Bailey, Joyce and Rory Rossi, and several nieces and nephew.
Friends will be received Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 2 p.m. until the service at 3:33 p.m. in St. John’s Burry’s Church, 1835 State Route 68, Rochester, PA with Rev. Win Groseclose officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Karen to help her establish a college fund for their children, or to ETC in care of St. John’s Burry’s Church.
