Ralph D. McCaughtry, 89, of Chippewa Twp. passed away Friday, May 28, 2010 at his residence.
Born September 9, 1920 in Beaver Falls was a son of the late Albert and Mary Elizabeth (Marx) McCaughtry. He was a veteran of the United States Army Signal Corp having served during World War II as a Tec Sgt and a member of the Chippewa United Methodist Church. He was retired from Babcocks & Wilcox Tubular Products, Eastworks Division, in 1982 after 42 Years of service.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy A. Cable McCaughtry, in 2006; a sister, Hazel Clark and an infant brother.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth & Joni McCaughtry, Chippewa Twp.; a daughter, Carole Comley, Patterson Twp.; seven grandchildren, Adam Comley and his wife, Patty, Erin Kilpatrick and her husband, Mark, Gary Comley, Shannon & Colleen McCaughtry, Tim Mittica and Beth Harris and her husband, Matt; eleven great grandchildren, Leigh & Ian Kilpatrick, Ashley, Aaron and Aaron Comley, Rayeanne Johnston, Jillian McCaughtry, Dominic & Michael Mittica and Christian & Lucas Harris; a sister, Ruth Rebeske.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com , 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with his pastor, Rodney E. Smith, officiating.
Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum.
