Richard M. Hickey, 88, of Chippewa Township, died Thursday, December 5, 2019 in his home with his loving family at his side.
Born July 2, 1931 in New Brighton, he was the son of the late George Hickey and Virginia Marker Hickey Quivey. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served his country for four years during the Korean War. He was a member of the Chippewa United Methodist Church and had retired from the former Babcock & Wilcox Tubular Products Company, East Works Department tool room, where he had been a machinist.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lois Jernberg Hickey, three sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Donna Hickey, New Brighton, Ken and Stacy Hickey, Brighton, Michigan, Jon and Darla Hickey, Morgantown, West Virginia, six grandchildren, Nicole Hickey, Paul “PJ” Hickey, Sarah-Beth Hickey, Christopher Hickey, Tesla Hickey, Koral Hickey, two great-grandchildren, Bennett Stockdale and Hunter Hickey, his brother-in-law, Arthur (Sandy) Jernberg and nieces.
Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where the service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Allan K. Brooks officiating. Private entombment in Beaver Mausoleum.
