Sella Jane Shaffer, 92 of Beaver Falls died Saturday September 11, 2021, in Cambridge Village.

Born December 2, 1928, in Beaver Falls, daughter of the late Kenneth & Anne (Bibbee) Cooper. She was a member of the St. John’s Evangelical Protestant (Burry’s) Church.  She graduated from Rochester High School.  She retired from Gimbles Department Store as a salesperson from the Shoe Department, at the Beaver Valley Mall.  She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the former Wenonah Chapter O.E.S, No. 124. Former District Deputy Grand Matron of District 3A, O.E.S; served as the General Chairman of Sessions, O.E.S from 1986-1987; served as the personal secretary to the Worthy Grand Matron from 1997-1998, and currently a member of the Woodlawn O.E.S, No. 164.   She was a member of the Big Knob Grange, and the Beaver Pomona Grange and the National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry.

She is survived by her husband of 73 years Donald W. Shaffer, whom she married October 2, 1947; two sons and daughters-in-law, James & Shirley Shaffer, West Mayfield; and Jeffrey & Lori Shaffer, Chippewa Township.   Grandchildren Brittnee & Bo Ruffner and Bridgette Shaffer.  A great granddaughter Blakelee Ruffner.  Three nephews Mark, Kent, and Wade Liebendorfer and families.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Sue Anne (Cooper) Weaver, on July 1997.

Private services were held for the family with her pastor the Rev. John Fanella officiating.

Officers and member of Woodlawn O.E.S, No. 164 gathered to  conducted a service for their Sister. 

Interment followed in Burry’s Church Cemetery.

The family would like to thank home health care aid Stephanie, the girls at Cambridge Village, and the girls with Heartland Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. 

In Lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be to the O.E.S. scholarship fund, making a check payable to Woodlawn Chapter #164, O.E.S., 1869 Barclay Hill Road, Beaver, 15009.
