Thomas Simmons, 80 of Beaver Falls, past away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday January 6th, 2021.
Born October 16, 1940 in Beaver Falls, son of the late Donald Forrest & Agnes (King) Simmons. He served in the U.S. Navy stationed in Newport, Rhode Island and served on the USS Yosemite AD19 touring the Mediterranean. He worked at Standard Horsenail of New Brighton, Babcock and Wilcox from 1965-1984 as a crane operator. He was the co-owner/operator of M & S Racing Enterprise in Freedom, from 1978 until he sold the business in 2003 upon retirement.
He was a graduate of the class of 1958, in Freedom. He was a member of the class of '58 Lunch Bunch and attended all lunches.
Car Racing was his passion, you could always find him in the garage working on his cars. He and his wife were former members of the Fairland Club and Mid-Ohio Ford Club.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Nancy (Ritchie) Simmons, whom he married September 3rd, 1965. Four daughters, Lorraine D'Andrea (Rob) Braintree, MA. Carol “Cas” Hirst, of Easton MA. Jodi (Pete) Zwieryznski Beaver Falls, Deborah (Spencer) Williams Beaver Falls, and finally a son Sean (Tracy) Simmons New Waterford, Ohio.
Grandchildren (his rugrats), Cole (Abigail), Adam (Cassandra), Casey( Kristin), Eric (Shannon), Becky (Jerry), Missy (Jason),Tom (Brit), Emily, Sarah ( Zach), Pete (Kelli), Leanne (Ron), Kelly (Mac), Andrew (Adrienne), Joshua (Carly).
Great Grandchildren, Max, Tatianna, Joslynn, Wade, Declan, Jethro, Noel, Taylor, Ronnie, Nick, Gabby, Brandon, Dylan, Sam, Jackson, Gage, Lawson, Maverick, Shantell, Josh, Raja, Jason Jr., Clara
Also leaves behind a brother Donald (Paula) Simmons Jr. Beaver Falls. A nephew Dean Simmons and great-nephew Derrick.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Diane Marie Simmons.
