Vernon T. Holsinger, 72, of Darlington and formerly of New Brighton died Saturday January 30, 2021 in his home. Born December 12, 1948 in Rochester was the son of the late Richard Clark & Norma Jean (Harrison) Holsinger. He served in the US Army 101st Airborne; retired from Westinghouse after 41 years of service from the maintenance department. He was a member of the Rochester Turners and the Rochester VFW. He was an avid golfer, golfing at Blackhawk Golf Coarse on Mondays and Fridays and traveled on Wednesdays. He volunteered to help make Darlington Boro a better place and helped the former Little Beaver Lioness Club. “Vern will be remembered as the guy that walked his dogs, Coby & Holly”.
He is survived by his companion of 25 years M. Benois Walton, Darlington; his former wife and friend Karen Holsinger, New Brighton; four daughters Jamie & Don Bedits, Monaca; Kelly & Chris Schoedel, New Brighton; Joni & Seth Shipley; Nashville, TN and Lynnette Holsinger, FL. Three granddaughters Taylor & Carly Schoedel and Lynnea Brown all of New Brighton. Two sisters Carol Holsinger, New Brighton and Cindy & Jon Landman, New Brighton and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents William & Lavina Harrison.
As per his wishes there will be no visitation or services.
