William J. Ostrom, Sr., 83, formerly of North Sewickley Township, currently residing at Franciscan Manor, Patterson Township passed away Friday, February 19, 2021.
Bill was born on February 3, 1938 in Eastvale Pennsylvania to the late Eugene David and Ruth Leone (Crowther) Ostrom. He retired in 1998 as a supervisor of the Beaver Falls Municipal Authority. He was a member of the former Holy Family Parish in New Brighton.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Anita (Florie) Ostrom in 1977 and a sister, Kay Ostrom in 2013.
He will be sadly missed by his son, William J. Ostrom, Jr., Chippewa Township; his daughter and son-in-law, Kari and Anthony Keane, Malvern, PA; two grandchildren, Alexandra and Patrick Keane; two brothers and a sister-in-law, David Ostrom, New Brighton and Robert R. and Pamela Ostrom, Beaver Falls; a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Fred Dettinger, North Sewickley Township and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his dedication to his family, Bill enjoyed many years hunting and fishing with family and friends in many places throughout North America. He was a life-long member of the Tussey Mountain Hunting Club in Huntingdon County Pennsylvania. In his later years, he enjoyed his membership at the Breakneck Beagle Club in Harmony Pennsylvania.
Bill’s family would like to extend the most sincere appreciation to the amazing health care professionals who provide excellent, compassionate care to their patients at the following: Heritage Valley Hospital in Beaver, Providence Care Home in Beaver Falls, Rochester Manor in Rochester, Franciscan Manor in Beaver Falls and Liberty Dialysis Center in Chippewa. Bill’s family is especially grateful to his primary care physician, Jason Rodreguez, MD and his staff.
