Thomas Craft Reeder, 79, a lifelong resident of Chippewa Township, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 12, 2019.
Born May 3, 1940 in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Ray King Reeder and Amanda Craft Reeder. He was a lifelong member of the Chippewa United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Kent State University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. He and his wife Charlene had been the owners of a china, glass, and silver distribution company. Previously he had been the controller of R.I.B. Construction Company, and the manager of Reeves Bank in Koppel. Tom had been a past troop leader of the Boy Scouts, and was a trainer and owner of numerous thoroughbred racing horses over the years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Jessica Reeder.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene Short Reeder, five children, T.C. Reeder, York, PA, Amy Reeder and her fiancé Mark Shaffer, New Sewickley Township, Roderick Reeder, Beaver, Matthew Reeder, Patterson Township, Daniel Reeder and his wife Kylee Reeder, Chippewa Township, 10 grandchildren, Jacob, Max, Lilly, Kyle, Peyton, Daniel, Bennett, Elida, Charlie, Kellan, and two brothers, Ray K. “Skip” Reeder, Armenia, and Donald S. Reeder, Philadelphia, PA.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where the service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Allan K. Brooks officiating. Private interment in Seceder Cemetery, Darlington.
