Troy Croston

Troy Croston, 93, of Lakeview Personal Care Home, formerly of Patterson Heights, died Saturday, June 15, 2019 in Good Samaritan Hospice.
Born March 21, 1926 in Moatsville, WV, he was the son of the late Grover Cleveland Croston and Sophrona Norris Croston. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He retired from ARCO Chemical Company where he had been a reactor operator. He had been a member of the Beaver Falls American Legion, West Mayfield Vets, enjoyed golfing and camping at Sanlan Campground in Florida, and Timashamie Campground and Western-Reserve Campground in Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Norine Dalton Croston on June 13, 2009, six brothers, Denver, Shirley, Jesse, Leonard, Thurwood and Charles Croston, and five sisters, Vennie Dalton, Lucille Shanor, Lilley, Elmina, and Nettie Croston, and a dear niece Dorothy Croston.
He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Patti Croston, Gary and Sharon Croston, Tim and Kris Croston, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Teen Croston, a dear nephew Everett (Pete) Croston and niece Jeanetta Miller.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where the service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with his nephew, Rev. Bill Shanor officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Cemetery.

The Veterans Honor Guard will meet at the cemetery on Thursday at 11:45 a.m. to conduct full military honors.
